Position Detection for CAD-Independent Paint Automation

3D.PositionDetection automatically identifies parts of any size and delivers reliable, adaptive paint-path guidance through precise 3D sensor technology and the 3D.OS software platform, ensuring maximum process reliability and efficiency.

The interaction between our 3D.OS software and the LC-X sensor forms the foundation of an innovative system for automatic part position detection. 3D.PositionDetection stands out with its high user-friendliness, easy integration and exceptional process reliability: new parts can be taught in quickly, even large structures require only a few sensors, and small as well as complex geometries are automatically detected for the first time.

The sensor system with integrated color camera enables extended feature detection through color contrast in addition to precise 3D measurement. Lengthy alignment procedures or recalibration after sensor replacement are no longer required, making the system not only highly efficient but also exceptionally robust in continuous operation.

The position detection system from 3D.aero enables reliable automatic coating, even when component positions vary. The sensor system precisely captures the spatial orientation of the parts, providing the foundation for a process-stable coating operation.
LCX_7939

LC-X Sensor

The LC-X sensor developed by 3D.aero captures components over long distances of up to 30 meters and provides precise measurement data for accurate part localization.
MC-X Sensor

MC-X Sensor

The MC-X sensor captures precise 3D data at close range of up to 40 centimeters and provides accurate part detection in compact workspaces.

Curious how automatic part position detection works?
